Fun game!  I've been stuck for many days on the "Garden District" level.  Any tips?  It feels undoable with only the given 5 health and 10 magic.  I've had the most success running about to get the mobs to stand together to maximize effectiveness of the electrify spell, but it's not enough.

Very nice game! There aren't too many roguelikes with good tactical combat out there; this game and Hoplite are the only ones I know of. I'm glad more games like this are being made. I found all 18 spells to be well balanced and the different enemies force you to be creative in how you approach the levels. My only gripe is that the level's difficulty can vary a lot depending on randomness. I found that levels were much easier when you start with potions close to your starting location - maybe there could be a way to guarantee that in the level generation?

I played the tutorial first. Then I played story mode up to quarters of the damned.
Pros:
- Appropriate difficulty
- Random level generation
- General level design/layout
- Graphics are simple but well drawn and consistent/matching
- Graphic - animation of spells
- Gameplay concept: turn-based strategy game
- Tutorial
- Story makes game more interesting
All these aspects incline me to play the game

Cons:
- Music
- No sound effects
- No ability to skip player's turn

Despite there being many pros, the cons weigh heavily.
This game is fun but I would be inclined to play it longer if you added some better music (that also better matched the atmosphere) and sound effects.
